About SABA
Strategic Alliances for Building Resilience and Adaptability (SABA) is a newly established, non-profit, non-religious, non-political, and voluntary development organization, registered as a public company limited by shares under Section 42 of the Companies Act (XIX), 2017. SABA is dedicated to advancing inclusive and sustainable development through a multi-dimensional, people-centered approach that integrates gender equity, age-friendly programming, improved health and education outcomes, environmental conservation, and the promotion of climate-smart agriculture and climate-resilient livelihoods.
Although formally institutionalized in 2025, SABA draws on a strong legacy of experience, innovation, and impact inherited from the Network of Disaster Management Practitioners Pvt. Ltd. (NDMP)—a pioneering organization that has significantly strengthened Pakistan’s disaster risk governance since 2011. This legacy provides SABA with a solid technical foundation, strategic vision, and trusted partnerships with government institutions, UN agencies, international NGOs, and civil society, enabling it to scale evidence-based, community-driven solutions across development, climate, and resilience domains.
Building on this foundation, SABA places a particular emphasis on the education and health sectors, with disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, and adaptive social protection embedded as cross-cutting themes. Through this integrated approach, SABA seeks to address the growing impacts of disasters and climate change on vulnerable populations while strengthening systemic resilience and service delivery at community and institutional levels.
